"You know, while you were playing that just now, I had the craziest fantasy that I could rise up and float right down the end of this coronet, right through here, through these valves, right along this tube, come right up against you lips and give you a kiss."
"Why didn't you?"
"I didn't want to get spit on me."

A New Zooey?
I've been seeing this face around for a little while now. I first saw it briefly on a blog I stumbled on, then again on a Bing.com commercial and then now on a York peppermint patty commercial. Alexi Wasser writes the blog IMBOYCRAZY.com and I would officially like to deem her the poor mans Zooey Deschanel.
Saying, "poor mans" sounds so negative; let me use the term "alternative" to keep everything fair. They are both kinda cute, with that same nose and similar hair styles periodically. Of course Wasser's lisp dial has been cranked up to 11 as compared to Deschanel's 3. We know they can both do humor so I wouldn't see it as a surprise when Fox Searchlight sticks Alexi in a spot that was written with Zooey in mind– and honestly I don't see a problem with that. When Hollywood can't afford Schwarzenegger they find Roland Kickinger to take his place, no big deal.I doubt Alexi can sing like Zooey since she usually just sways back and forth to hip-hop as a musical fix.
(Update 12/30: Just found out that Alexi does have her own music project)
I just think we'll be seeing more of Alexi Wasser in films and shows where Zooey could have fit just as good and that are a bit better than Cabin Fever 2 and Dirt….. but not by much

Give and Receive: Xmas Gifts 2009
So I received some gifts for Christmas as most people do; out of all of them, two were given to me in order to enhance the blogging experience.
Gift #1: A Flip HD camera
Now not only can I add photos to my entries, but also short and annoying videos that I will film with this little guy. Also, what better reason to make a Vimeo account than having a small HD video camera, eh? Although I just found out that if you don't pay for your account then you can only upload 1 HD video a week. Oh well, I still like their embedded player better than YouTubes.
Gift #2: The Elements of Style
Now don't all crap your pants at once you hipsters who want to know how to mess up your hair perfectly. This book is far from a guide to looking good. The Elements of Style was originally written in 1918 by William Strunk, a professor of english, outlining the major points to good American writing. Then revised a number of times from 1959 to 1979 by author E.B. White (Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little). With this piece of literature, you can expect to see less spelling errors and use of english that isn't not very good for me writing. Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you don't ask for.
I also got a bunch of clothes that I am more than happy with, the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack, the Pixar Shorts DVD, a new cologne…. ladies, and a 12 pack of beer.

Happy Boxing Day
Don't put on your red gloves America. Enjoy your Boxing day like any other European and bring out your cold Christmas meats and make a big, cold lunch with your family.
Also take advantage of after Christmas sales in the true Boxing Day fashion.

Bring on the bull
If there is one thing I am certain for my pooch preference, it is that it has to be some sort of bull dog. If the breed of the dog has the word 'bull' in it, then I want it…. hands down. Read more >>

Lasse Gjertsen
If you have seen Lasse's video "Hyperactive" or his "Amateur" video, you owe it to him and yourself to watch this awesome animation video he just did. He never ceases to impress me with whatever he decides to do.
I love the running heart

Possibly the funniest scene in movie history
I happened to stumble across the Jerry Lewis film The Ladies Man on one of the movie channels one day. The premise for the film is that Herbert (Lewis) gets a job working in this very large house full of women as a sort of male maid and hilarity ensues. The "fix my hat" gag starts about half way into this clip, but watch the whole thing to get an idea of each character's personality. This is my favorite scene and involves one of the girls boyfriends coming to pick her up…..

Mega Dog
Meet Rico, the injured Chihuahua. I think hist cast resembles a certain video game hero.
Rush never had the balls to use Mega Man's trademark blue. Where as, Rico just never had balls period.

Brown and Blue
Just got back from the Brown and Blue show at Dipiazzas. I highly suggest you strike interest in them and the audio they project. I picked up their vinyl tonight and the warmth of the plastic only adds to their sound. Also the first 150 presses are green...... take that society!
Remember Myspace? Listen to them HERE. The Light is the tits, as well as History (not on myspace). Haven't had a chance to listen to the whole record yet, but I know it won't disappoint.

Pasta pasta
Gooooood stuff. As an Oncley tradition, I cracked an egg into the red sauce as it cooked. You can kind of see it poking out on the left. Also added chicken, onions, mushrooms and capers to a can of diced tomatoes w/ garlic.
You can also see the Xmas cards piling up on our breakfast table
Fuck you Paul Rudd
Now that's it is Christmas time and all the holiday songs are playing; every time I hear Let It Snow, I can't help but say "The weather outside is weather." I guess I should be mad at Kunu, but still.
Bacon surprise
Another stanky sandwich. I guess I like to ward people off with my breath. Bacon sandwich with pickles, onions and melted provolone, gorgonzola and blue cheese. Oh yea, and a lot of mustard. That super toasty bread killed the roof of my mouth.... but I'll survive. Oh hey look an egg.

Solid Cold: Why it beats the heat
Living in southern California gives me a pretty limited array of weather conditions. It ranges from hot to cold and occasionally rainy. That's not much to work with, although I find that I usually prefer the cold to heat for a number of reasons. Here is my list of why the hot sun can shove it and jack frost can stick around.
Insanity
I feel one day I will go insane. This isn't a lyric or a poem, I just think that I have great insanity potential.

Happy Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
Small bizz
This morning was a great morning. It started off with a long hot shower.... always enjoyable, especially when it's raining out. Then an interesting hour in class discussing whether or not homosexuality is a choice. Mind you, this class is usually retardedly dull so that was nice for a change. When class was over I proceeded on my small business shopping spree.
I started at Lyon Art store on 4th street to pick up some canvas and was informed about Lyons merge with Graphaids. Wonderful, they are also moving across the street in 2010 to a nicer building. Then I was off to ship a T-shirt out so I went to the small shipping store on Atherton and PV right next to CSULB. It's a small family owned business that is never busy and a cheaper alternative to FedEx across the street. After I dropped off my package I headed toward Ace Hardware to pic up some spray paint. There is an Ace a block away from Lyon but I usually go to the one near my house so I went there instead. I even got in a short conversation with the cashier about why Vegas ATMs will give you fives and tens. Finally I filled up my car at Mobile, not exactly a small business, but the mechanics at the one I go to are like cartoon characters. One is tall and skinny with a big beard and the other one is short and fat with a missing finger. Both are middle eastern. Then I came home, took off my wet clothes, got into some sweats and made some food.
What says rainy day like a white grilled cheese? Provolone, mozzarella, and some gorgonzola for a little extra stank.
I ended the morning by watching 'Unknown' on Cinemax. Pretty good. Gotta love Joey Pants and Greg Kinnear
But now 'John Carpenter's Ghost of Mars' is on.... garbage
Ps: support small business'

Boxed laundry
I have a bad habit of not folding my clothes until my next use of the washing machine. This batch of clean clothes sat in a laundry basket for two weeks.
Dinner and why it's easy
Everyone complains about cooking their own food and doesn't realize how easy it is. I was hungry for some pasta but didn't want to break open an entire pack of noodles for myself so I improvised.
I grabbed a blue box mac n cheese and started boiling the noodles. Then in another pot I started to sauté green onions, mushrooms and garlic. I added the required butter and milk to my pot(reading the side of the blue box) and finally when it looked soupy added the cheesy powder we all know so well. That's it! That's all the cooking that was required. Then just drain and mix and I had a good meal, and it didn't suck. Although the cheese powder for this brand(not kraft) seemed a bit too fluorescent. Maybe my pee will glow in the dark.
