Stupid Little Squares Month

Please excuse my absence!

I have been spending my nights planning for a new themed month for Stupid Little Squares!

If you were following my @mikeoncley account last year, then you remember my barf-a-day drawings in my "I've Been Poisoned" series.

I have to keep my new theme under wraps for now, but keep posted on my Instagram to see the subject I land on to draw for a whole month.

Living in Seattle

Oh beautiful parody.

Amazon has a video they've made to showcase how GREAT it is to live in Seattle. It's a sure fire way for them to haul over more bus fulls of coders to help raise the price of rent for everyone else.



YOU GUYS, IT'S SO EASY TO DO ACTIVE THINGS IN WASHINGTON. I'm so glad she was able to move away from god-forsaken Southern California where there are NO ACTIVITIES EVER.

Fortunately for us, there is SubPop Records, who felt the need to parody this gag-inducing "propagamazon".

Yes, Seattle is a beautiful city, but go live in Tacoma ya jerks! They could use the development.

The Mess That Matters

Today I have the honor of being featured on THE MESS THAT MATTERS!

I even drew an extra-stupid little square for the occasion featuring Kalie, the site's author, riding a unicornplane to her next adventure.

This @StupidLittleSquare was made using Adobe Draw on an iPad Mini. Digital drawings, like this one, have been a blast to do on the go lately.

Idea Square: Graduation Skull

Recently I made a graphic based on one of my cartoon squares. I've never pulled an image from one of my doodles and brought it over to my graphic design world. I'M CROSSING THE STREAMS!

I must say though, I am happy with the outcome. Obviously more detail and time went into the 2nd one, but who know which other square might make a good graphic down the line.

We'll see if it happens again.
