Deadpool Lives!

What a nice surprise today.

To tell his followers that he has signed on to star in the new Deadpool flick, Mr. Ryan Reynolds has tweeted a pic of my "You Missed" piece from last years comic book gallery at Ltd. Art Gallery in Seattle.

Stupid Little Squares

They're finally here!

Friends have been asking me about prints of my stupid little squares that I post on Instagram. Well the time has come for a full fledged store!

I love the products Society6 offers so I decided to sell with them again, as I do with my fine art prints. With the volume of squares there are, it was just too many for little ol' me to be making prints myself. Currently, this is the only place that prints of my squares are available.

RIP TMNT

Day 4 - Barfy Jr.

I doubt this will be my only Rick and Morty barf square. This show has quickly become my favorite cartoon on cable, thanks again Mom and Dad for the Verizon login!

This square features Morty and Morty Jr, his alien son from Gazorpazorp.

Looks like his lust to rebel and destroy humanity got the best of him this time.

Fritz and the Tantrums

Coming next month is the new CATZ art show at Ltd. Gallery in Capital Hill, Seattle!

I, along with many other artists, will be presenting original pop culture art, all including cats. I myself am a dog person, but who could resist putting these grumpy little fuzz balls into their artwork?

The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat

When I chose my piece I decided to go with an older reference but felt this would be a fun character to work with. I chose to use Fritz the Cat as my subject, "A hypocritical swinging college student cat (who) raises hell in a satiric vision of various elements on the 1960's".  His second film came out in 1972 and was titled The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat (he was originally a comic strip but I won't get into that). The entire film revolves around him going through his nine lives and you join him while he experiences these nine alternate realities. Throughout these escapades he is constantly having sex and doing drugs, living in the 60's version of "YOLO" to the fullest extent. He's a young college kid in the late 1960's with a baby Mama, a baby to go with her, and no job. What else would a jobless college kid want to do all day besides melt their brains and have sex (did we not learn anything from Wolf of Wall St.?)?  That is why I chose to depict four variations of Fritz with him using four different drugs, cocaine, pot, alcohol and LSD.

I wouldn't want to spoil it all before the gallery opening on February 1st, but I hope you enjoy my preview photos!

Did Stan Lee Make an X-Men Film in 1973?

What do you get when you cross 1970's blaxploitation films and Stan Lee? MAGNEGRO!

I let my love of blaxploitation films and superheroes fly with this newest art piece. If I were a producer I would make this movie a reality, but for now we just have to get by with the poster alone.

Here is Magnegro, our magnetic protagonist who's family has been run down by the man. Watch as he uses his abilities of controlling metal to seek revenge on the men who did him wrong. This time, opposites kick ass.

You Missed - Deadpool in Bullets

Finished throwing together the footage of myself creating my Deadpool piece for the comic book themed show at Ltd. Art Gallery in Seattle.

MINT Condition

Still more bullets to add to this guy in preparation for the upcoming comic themed gallery in March.

I am a part of Ltd. Galleries March show which takes place during the Emerald City Comicon. The show is entitled MINT Condition and stretches the entire month of March. I chose to do Deadpool because there isn't anyone as much of a smart-ass as he is, which you have to respect. Plus what other mercenary would look as good made entirely out of empty shell casings?

More photos to come after his completion, but I will keep it very limited so you can still be surprised at the actual gallery. The flyer for the show is below.

Does Dethklok Represent the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

Little did the world know that The Darkness "Four Horsemen" comic book was actually a look into the future, of metal band Dethklok.

The resemblance is uncanny to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. I'd say its about 20 years later, Toki has turned gray and both he and Murderface have added goatees to their facial hair. Pickels has combed out his dredlocks and Nathan has been overcome by the Darkness.

They also ride motorcycles and kill people..... but I think they did that before. The original four horsemen are said to ride on white, red, pale, and black horses, very appropriate for their hair colors and/or pale skin.

Cowboy Commander

Apparently Cobra Commander had been hiding in the outskirts of a western town defending the innocent in the 40's before he made a horrible decline into villainy in the early 80's. We see through your disguise Lone Rider, if that's your real name.

Wow, he's got to be close to 95 now. I guess that paved the way for Old Snake on Transformers.
